A visit to MacRitchie Reservoir (Saturday, 19 Jan 2008)

Today, I went to MacRitchie Reservoir with my family to go jogging. It was my first time going there.

When I reached there, I was immediately captured by its beautiful surroundings. It was full of greenery. The trees, bushes, grass, and plants. I took a deep breath, and the fresh air filled me in with energy. Then I started off with a slow jog. The cool morning breeze caressed my face, and urged me to go faster. Animals spluttered with life there. I could see birds fluttering, squirrels scrambling up trees, and even monkeys. Thanks to environmental-friendly people, the monkeys were tamed. I could still recall the time I went to Malaysia, and when I visited monkeys, a monkey came to me and snatched away my packet of biscuits.

After jogging for 20minutes, I was hot and sweaty, but the cool air cooled me down quickly. My first visit here tells me that MacRitchie Reservoir is an excellent place. It is relaxing, the air is cool, and animals are friendly. I hope that I can come here more often in the future.
